Underground Storage Tanks
Atlatl's established underground storage tank (UST) program emphasizes a full-service approach, tailored specifically for the customer, including some or all of the following services: Risk Assessment Atlatl provides risk assessments to help clients determine potential environmental liabilities from their underground storage tanks. Atlatl evaluates the UST site based on local hydrology, geology, tank age, and tank contents. The client receives a report that documents Atlatl's findings and provides a recommended plan of action to comply with UST regulations. Monitoring Based on site geology and hydrology, Atlatl designs and implements leak detection plans, including groundwater and/or soil vapor monitoring, to meet regulatory requirements. Removal Atlatl provides complete excavation, tank removal and backfill services, including acquisition of all required permits to remove, dismantle, and dispose of underground storage tanks, associated piping, and residual liquids. Atlatl UST removal services include:
Decommissioning Atlatl can dismantle tanks on-site or move them off-site for dismantling. Atlatl utilizes a remote plasma torch cutting system to safely decommission UST's. UST Remedial Services Atlatl provides professional and field services for UST site remediations, including:
Atlatl can perform three-dimensional modeling on complex hydrogeological projects, to identify plumes from surface and subsurface spills, and to estimate spill ages and probable migration. Models are also used to evaluate groundwater well placement, pumping rates for remediation, and development of water quality projections for impact analyses. Our staff is experienced with UST regulations, decommissioning, site investigation, and remediation. Atlatl has the resources needed to conduct investigations and remediations using the most economical methods. Equipment, such as our Geoprobe system, datalogger, and software systems, minimize costs of site characterization, and maximize information gathered.
